Nenad Drulović, Junior research assistant, ICTM

He has been employed at the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy - an institute of national importance for the Republic of Serbia at the University of Belgrade - since 2024, as a junior research assistant.

He completed his undergraduate and master's academic studies at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, majoring in Biochemistry. He enrolled in doctoral academic studies in the 2023/2024 academic year at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, in the Biochemistry study programme.

Scientific interests

Within his scientific research work in the fields of enzymology and biotechnology, he focuses on proteolytic enzymes, including their production, purification, characterization, and application. In addition to proteolytic enzymes, he also conducts research in the field of bioactive peptides — their production, characterization, and determination of biological activity.

Teaching engagement

From 2022 to 2025, he was engaged as a teaching associate at the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, for the course "Experimental Biochemistry."
